- Self-funding gives you freedom
- Personal ownership is very valuable
- Prefer and recommend becoming a contract (free-agent with strings)
- It’s very personal, for better or worse
- Don’t do personal favors
- It is very hard, be ready
- You probably won’t have insurance (in America)
- Honestly, just get a cushy corporate gig and do stuff on the side
- Moonlight instead
