Just the version bumping is going to present a problem. I think I’ll factor it all into github.com/rwxrob/scanner so that I’m not messing with rwxrob/scan. Also, I want to get it to the point where it can just be copied into any project and used in a “vendored” sort of way so that there is no lock-in or dependency on external deps. This is particularly important because that stuff that depends on a scanner for anything is likely to be really dependent on it never, ever changing or going away. The scanner in such cases is the central part of the package or application. This justifies the decision to create a Go package is this intentionally designed to be super easy to plop into any other project and just tweak the package paths. In fact, I could create a Bonzai stateful command branch to do just that. z go scanner add would just create a directory with my favorite Rune scanner and all the code stuff changed over, and with no copyright lines (or perhaps as an option).
